Narrative
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – An elderly man died Wednesday morning, and a woman sustained injuries when their vehicle hit a North Little Rock eatery.
The accident happened around 9:15 a.m. at The Mighty Crab on Lakewood Village Drive near the McCain Mall.
Police say the 82-year-old driver of a red Chevy pickup truck may have experienced a medical episode before the crash. The restaurant was closed when the wreck occurred.
Medics transported both the driver and his female passenger to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver, since identified as Lonnie Thornton, died at the hospital.
A full investigation is underway.
