Narrative
NEAR CABOT, AR – A 24-year-old man, confirmed to have been an off-duty police officer, passed away after he crashed his pickup truck into a tree after failing to stop at a stop sign.
This collision happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sandhill Road and Mount Tabor Road intersection. After declining to stop, his 2010 Ford F-150 went into the air prior to crashing, and the man — Christian Weir — was thrown from his pickup truck.
April 2024 would have marked Weir’s two-year anniversary working for the Cabot Police Department.
Cabot Police started their own investigation and have not provided more information at this time.
