Narrative

CONWAY, AR – A 46-year-old Conway woman tragically lost her life in a Sunday afternoon incident near Hogan Lane in Conway.

Witnesses told investigators the incident occurred on U.S. Highway 64 when Christopher Swillie rear-ended a Honda Civic driven by 67-year-old Tameria Franklin. Subsequently, he lost control of the Chevrolet Silverado, veering into the westbound traffic lane and colliding with a Kia Optima driven by 34-year-old Christopher Waddle and passenger 37-year-old Shirley Rensel.

Aretha Swillie was ejected from the truck during the crash and lost her life. Christopher Swillie, who continued driving erratically, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and subsequently charged with DWI for drugs and second-degree battery.

The other individuals involved in the collision, Franklin, Waddle, and Rensel, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported for medical treatment.
