Narrative
HOT SPRING CO., AR – A 40-year-old man died Monday in a wrong-way crash along the highway in northeast Hot Spring County.
The accident happened at 4:05 p.m. in the 5700 block of US-270 near Malvern. This is east of Lake Catherine State Park and south of Magnet Cove High School.
Police say that the victim lost control of his westbound Jeep, entered the eastbound side of US-270, and collided head-on with an eastbound transit van.
The wrong-way driver, identified as Terry Eugene Hill, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.
Medics transported the driver of the transit van to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
